He laughed but nodded. “Sure. If I do something stupid and hurt myself, then you are allowed to scold me. Because I’ll definitely deserve it.” Honestly, he would. Because if he managed to hurt himself here, then he had gotten seriously desperate for something to do. “I’ll enjoy your company on the day I get injured then.” She would at least be pleasant company. Even if she didn’t know what else to do. She could talk to him, keep him entertained. Because he would need that if he got injured. He walked over to sit beside her. “Yes. Even though you deserve it. I’m not going to yell. And we’ve already discussed what you did wrong, so I think you’re off the hook. For now.” He smiled softly. “You’re welcome.”

She laughed a little when he agreed with her silly proposal. It would be an interesting sight; her scolding him. Hopefully it never came to that though. “Well that’s good, but I hope we can enjoy each others company on days where you don’t injure yourself as well.” Injuries weren’t fun. She realized that now. And was grateful for the lack of yelling. He had scolded her earlier. And she knew what she did wrong. “Well, that’s good then. I really did do a stupid thing. I realize that now.” She smiled, leaning into him to give him a half hug with her good arm. “Thanks for being such a good friend.”

“You’re welcome, Eve. Though you can pay me back by taking care of me if I ever do something stupid and injure myself.” He doubted it would happen. Not in such a sheltered place like this. But he would give her the hope that it could happen. He stood by the door for a moment, watching carefully as she took the medicine the doctor had given her. But she only took two of the pills, which was probably the right amount. Then she looked up at him, and he sighed. He walked up to her, leaning the crutch on her nightstand. “I’m not going to yell at you. You’ve probably suffered enough, not being able to walk around the way you’re used to.”

“So if you ever end up doing something stupid and hurting yourself, does that mean I get to scold you?” It was a little bit of a silly thought, but it made her laugh a little. “I promise to take care of you if you hurt yourself.” But hopefully he wouldn’t need her help. She had no idea what she’d do in the first place. Human injuries were so strange to her. Her eyes trailed his movements, then looked up at him when he stopped by her nightstand. “Even though I deserve it?” she said softly. And that spilled out without her really meaning to. She didn’t want to be yelled at, and was grateful he wasn’t. She had suffered enough. The injuries were punishment enough for her own stupidity and recklessness. “Thank you for not yelling.”

He laughed a little as she wrapped her arm around his waist. “I’ve done worse than this to help out a friend. This is just helping you walk. And I’m only supporting you a little, really.” He really had done worse to help out friends and family. Incidents with the Judge and the guards come to mind. But he didn’t want to think about those right now. So he focused back on her, helping her walk down the hall to her room. He set the crutch down and wedged the door open, then helped her inside the room and to her bed. Once he was sure she was steady, he returned to the doorway, retrieving the crutch and closing the door.

“Yeah, but I’m still sorry. That you have to be one taking care of my broken self. Though, I really do appreciate it. So thank you again.” Not many others would have helped her. So while she still felt bad it fell to him, she was glad he did stop to help out. Once back at her room, she settled herself on her bed. Then opened her nightstand drawer, pulling out the bottle of pain relievers. She fidgeted with the cap, but got it off, dumping out two and replacing the cap. She twisted the cap off her water again, picking up the pills, putting them in her mouth and taking a swig of water to down them. At least the doctor had let her have them in her room whenever she needed them. Which wasn’t too often. More when she something stupid like bump her arm and cause herself more pain. So at least the stuff would kick in soon and help relieve the pain. She set her bottle back on the nightstand, huffing out a sigh. Then she just glanced at him, waiting to see what he was going to do next.

He had to put those thoughts aside and focus on helping Eve down the halls. She was going slowly, and he could tell that it was frustrating her. He finally took the water bottle from her, tucking them underneath his arm. Then he stole her crutch once more, supporting her with an arm around her waist before she could even wobble. “There. Let’s get you to your room now.” He said softly.

She was so focused on trying to get down the hall that she almost didn’t notice him grabbing the bottle from her. Then her crutch was tugged from her, but he was there holding her up again. Her arm wrapped around his waist so she could keep her balance. “Thanks. I promise I won’t do something this stupid again. That way you don’t have to help me walk around like this.” She felt like she was such a pain. Though, at least he was willing to help her. Most others around here wouldn’t. Hatter would help, but as he had freaked out when he found her, perhaps it was better that he didn’t see her like this. She’d find him when she could at least walk properly again. And then apologize to him too. But at least she could get down the halls a little bit easier now. It took several minutes, but eventually they reached her room.

“I wonder what happened… Why the planet ended up like that.” Suddenly he wished he could go back again. Back to his time. So that he didn’t have to deal with the trash and the electricity and the technology. But he was stuck here, so he could only hope that he never had to deal with her ship and the trash that came with it. He followed her to the door and wedged it open for her, letting her pass through before following her out. He followed her through the hall, debating taking her crutch from her and helping her walk. Or at least taking the water bottle from her so she wouldn’t have to carry it.

She shrugged. She honestly couldn’t answer him. Because she didn’t know what had happened. All she knew is that when she got here, it did not look like it had now. But had no explanation as to why. She slowly made her way down the hall. Everything was slow these days. And would be until she was healed enough to walk. The bottle was awkward to carry. Because she couldn’t really hold it right. So she fidgeted as she walked down the hall. How she wished her room was closer. Why was it so far from here?

He glanced out the window, frowning. What had happened to their world? “There was that much trash? So much that he stacked it everywhere? And all the people… where were they? On your spaceship?” He pretty much forgot about her last comment, distracted by her comments about the Earth. He almost wished he knew what had happened in her future. So that he could know what to expect. He nodded, placing the cap on his own water and piling their trays together. “Then we’ll return to your room for your medicine. So that your arm doesn’t hurt anymore.” He picked up their trays with one hand, their water bottles with another, and stood. He walked over to toss their trash, then waited for Eve so they could head back to her room.

She nodded. “There was a lot. And the place was deserted. Pretty much the humans were all on the ship. It was a pretty large ship. So it held a lot.” There were a lot of humans on there. And then they’d die and reproduce and the population would continue. But she still didn’t know what happened to earth. She only came down once and discovered it was barren except for one small plant. “Thank you,” she said softly. Grabbing her crutch and making herself stand. She grabbed her water, clutching it to her chest with her bad arm as she hobbled towards the doors. She waited for him to open then and then hobbled out, making her way slowly down the hall towards her room

“Yes, I can imagine the time you’re having. I’m sure you can’t wait until your ankle at least is healed. Because then you don’t have to awkwardly shove open doors. You can open them normally.” The probably sounded wonderful to her right now. “He was cleaning up trash? Surely there couldn’t have been that much trash for him to clean up? I have been to many places out there, I suppose. They’re all rather different. But they’re all full of life. And they all have their own… personality I guess.” He sighed and shoved his tray away. “I don’t know. I haven’t seen anyone leave either. So I don’t know that they want us to leave, ever.” He frowned when she whimpered, leaning forward and looking her over to make sure she was alright.

“It sounds like such a simple thing, but I am so looking forward to it.” She smiled at the simple thought. Then she nodded. “He was. He compacted it into these little tiny cubes. And they were stacked everywhere. Really, the place was deserted except for him. It looked nothing like it does now. Outside sounds like it is much more fascinating than being in here.” She sighed a little. Why the doctors would say they wanted them to leave and then never let them, she had no idea. Why help them if they never had any intention of letting them go? She lightly held her arm, waiting for the pain to lessen. “Oww…. that hurt,” she whimpered. Then she forced herself to take a breath to steady herself. The pain dulling a little, but still throbbing. She had some low dose pain medication in her room she could take. So she capped up her water and grabbed for her crutch. “I think I am ready to leave now. For my room. I also have medicine in there to help with my arm.”

“Then you just relax and concentrate on healing properly. And once you’ve done that, we’ll go for a walk together. And yes, you’ll have a free hand again. You could open the doors then, if you wanted to.” Not that he would make her do that if he were out and about with her. But in general it was a good thing. She wouldn’t be stuck waiting outside rooms for someone to let her in. Especially rooms like the cafeteria, with heavier doors. “Was the earth a lot different then? You must have visited the future or something, for there to be nothing on the planet. But this planet is a lot more lively. You will see it, eventually.” He frowned, looking up at her. “I can only hope that we’ll get out. Otherwise what would be the point of being here?”

“That sounds like such a wonderful thing. Be able to open doors without having to try and awkwardly shove them open with my shoulder. Because that is really hard to do with your hand already full. Especially if it has a handle on it.” Something simple as opening a door sounded so nice to her. Even just the thought of walking normal sounded great. “It was really barren. There weren’t any humans around, but they were all up on the ship. And the only robot I met was Wall-E. He was cleaning up a bunch of trash. So I was a little confused that it was so busy and full of life when I somehow got here. Have you been many places out there? What’s it like?” She was curious to know what the world out there was like. But she supposed those stories could also be saved for later. “But they seem to always get more people in, and no one ever leaves. So I’m beginning to wonder if they ever had any intention of letting us leave.” She picked up her water bottle again, but when she leaned into the table, she bumped her arm, causing pain to shoot through it. She whimpered, inwardly cursing herself for that.

clopin-the-gypsy:

“Yes, I do like that about it. Because I can escape into the books for a while and it also helps me pretend that I’m not here. And with so many books in the library, I might be able to relax in this place for a while longer. And perhaps once your ankle has healed, we’ll walk around some. Until we find a good spot for you to hang out.” They would wait for her to heal some. So that she could walk on her own. That way she wasn’t forced to walk with the crutch anymore. He picked up his fork, playing with the last of the food on his tray. “It really does. That’s why I would like to get out. I’m just so… tired of seeing the same thing all the time. I just want to see the rest of the world.”

“I’d like that. Being able to walk around like normal again. Even if my arm still isn’t healed, I’d like to be able to walk. At least then I’d have a free hand again.” So she could get her own food and move on her own. And feel like she was slightly functional again. That’d be nice. “I’d like to see more of the world. I miss home, but I do remember that as a robot I was sent to find earth. And now that I’m here, I’d like to see more of it. Because it seems so different from the last time I saw it. It’s so full of life now and it wasn’t before. Now when I saw it. But I’m not going to see much when I’m stuck in this place. I don’t even know what else there is out there. What it looks like. I’m hoping it all looks better than this place.” She sighed, pushing her tray back a little. “Do you think we’ll ever get out?”

So I found this via my personal and then had to do it with San. And this is what happened.

San has mastered the ability to force horses to cower in fear, however only when happy. Also, she has learned to spin like a whirlwind and she can take control of yaks, but doing so drains her sense of hearing for one hour. San is able to transform any pig into illusion and she developed the talent to tunnel through solid adamantium. She likewise wades into combat with a razor-sharp pet wolf, but only when concentrating. San has been known to steal the mental attributes of her foes and use it against them, but doing so makes her woefully unskilled at diplomacy for five minutes. Additionally, she is protected from damage by a fluid-like hide. Terribly, San struggles with being powerless.

What do your powers come out as?

Eve is able to absorb the damage from suffocation and redirect it toward a single adversary. She has mastered the ability to make zebras appear from nowhere and she has learned to make duplicates of herself. Eve possesses the power to change shape into an octopus, but can only do so once a day. She likewise has been known to steal the mental attributes of her rivals and use it against them and she has the power to transform her body into illusion, however doing so makes her clumsy for five minutes. Eve can view distant locations with her mind and she has a reputation for an amazing wisdom, but only while concentrating. Unfortunately, Eve suffers from being slow.
